Introduction of Induction Heating

Induction heating is a process of heating the metal work piece by means of electromagnetic induction. An alternating voltage applied to an Induction Cables (inductors) will result in an alternating current (AC) flow in the coil circuit. An alternating coil current produces in its surroundings a time-variable magnetic field that has the same frequency as the coil current. This magnetic field induces eddy currents in the workpiece located near the coil. And the induced eddy currents produce heat by the Joule effect in the workpiece.

The Induction cables (inductors) used, placed close to metal piece to be heated, induces eddy current of the work piece and heating up the metal work piece without physical contact. Not only the energy transfer is efficient, it is also fast and accurate. Below are some of the advantages of using Induction Heating:
